Community rallies to replace 77-year-old woman’s windows after her Third Ward home was broken into

A 77-year-old Third Ward woman, whose home was left exposed after eight windows were broken, is receiving help from her community, as residents, law enforcement, and local business owners have stepped in to replace them.

Earlier this week, ABC13 reported on Sammye Hughes, who said she could not afford to replace the windows after a man charged with criminal mischief broke through them.
