Burglary in Marengo Results in 12-Year Sentence

12 YEARS IN PRISON FOR POPLAR GROVE MAN CONVICTED IN $100,000+ MARENGO BURGLARY

McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi L. Freese announces that Sean A. Fitzpatrick, 50, of Poplar Grove, Illinois, was sentenced to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Judge Tiffany E. Davis following his convictions for

  • Residential Burglary,
  • Aggravated Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicles, and
  • Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Fitzpatrick had been previously found guilty of the charges in July of 2025, following a three-day jury trial…
