The Western North Carolina Air Museum will open for a four-day Labor Day weekend program Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at 1340 E. Gilbert Street in Hendersonville. Admission is free, and the museum will accept donations.
Saturday’s program will center on aviation exhibits throughout the day, with concessions available on site. The museum maintains a collection of aircraft tied to aviation history, and its regular visitor experience includes access to the flight line and hangars where those aircraft are kept and flown. The association says the museum hosts two air fairs each year, one in spring and one over Labor Day weekend.
