The two appeared on Fox & Friends on Friday, September 4, to promote their novel, The Most Dangerous Games, which hit shelves earlier that week on September 1.
Fox News highlighted the partnership as an effort by MrBeast to encourage kids to read, with Patterson offering insights into the book’s future plans. However, when host Lawrence Jones asked about the possibility of a sequel or adaptations, Patterson hinted at Hollywood interest, saying, “We’re working on it. I think there’s a lot of interest in Hollywood already, which is cool, so probably movies and all that stuff.”
At that moment, MrBeast seemed to hesitate, glancing at Patterson and saying, “I don’t know if we’re allowed to say that.” Patterson quickly tempered the excitement, noting, “Well… We know they’re interested, but that doesn’t mean there’s, you know…”
