San Diego deputies raid homes in large-scale fraud investigation

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two people were arrested Thursday after San Diego County sheriff’s deputies served search warrants in San Marcos and Temecula as part of an investigation into large-scale fraud, forgery and burglary, authorities said.

Deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station served the warrants around 7 a.m. at the homes of Katie Rhew, 44, and Michael Sundstrom, 46.

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators recovered hundred of items allegedly associated with the production of forged documents, along with stolen credit cards and passports…
