OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – More than 1,200 people are confirmed dead and more than 4,000 remain missing following floods near the Nepal-China border, according to the United Nations.
Members of Omaha’s Nepalese community are hoping for good news about family and friends still unaccounted for.
Community leaders wait for updates
Yadu Sapkota, president of the Nebraska Nepalese Society, said the wait for information continues more than a week after the floods hit.
