Knoxville man charged after making threats to church, congregation, court records say

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Knoxville man has been charged after he allegedly made threats to a church and its congregation.

According to a warrant obtained by WVLT News, 35-year-old Phillip Larue made a post and several comments on social media about a church located on Hill Road in Knoxville on Sept. 2.

Among Larue’s comments was one that said “The entire church is about to meet God, this time it’s going to be a lesson,” the warrant said…
