Critically injured USPS worker loses leg after being hit by car in Philadelphia

A postal worker is in critical condition after being struck by a car while working on his mail route in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, according to police and people who know him.

Police said the 48-year-old worker was standing behind his parked postal vehicle gathering mail when a silver Honda sedan struck him.
