Man police say ran from traffic stop, leaving nearly 19 lbs. of marijuana behind indicted

AMARILLO (KVII) — A man accused of running from a traffic stop in Amarillo, leaving behind nearly 19 pounds of marijuana, was indicted.

A Potter County grand jury indicted Alexander William Schmidling, 26, of Skellytown, on a charge of possession of more than 5 pounds but no more than 50 pounds of marijuana, a third-degree felony.
