Historic West End Office Building Changes Hands After Major Redevelopment

One of the West End’s best-known historic buildings has changed hands, with a Houston-based investment firm expanding its holdings in the neighborhood.

DealCo acquired Factory Six03, a 215,111-square-foot office building at 603 Munger Ave., from Plano-based Granite Properties last week. The acquisition expands DealCo’s footprint in the West End. The firm also owns the neighboring Oilwell Supply Building at 2001 N Lamar St.

A City of Dallas landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 603 Munger Ave. dates to 1903, when it was built as part of the Brown Cracker & Candy Company complex. The company’s factory was once described as the largest cracker plant in the country, according to GFF Design…
