JACKSON — The City of Jackson’s ninth annual Mayor’s Cup golf tournament will bring a sold-out field of 108 golfers to the historic Pete Brown Golf Course on Friday, with proceeds supporting junior golf programs and course maintenance.
A check presentation is scheduled for 10:50 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
Richard’s Disposal will present $2,500 each to First Tee of Central Mississippi and the Grove Park Junior Golf Clinic. The programs introduce young people to golf while emphasizing life skills including responsibility, integrity and perseverance…
