2 officers resign after shooting of teens at McDonald’s in North County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (First Alert 4) – Two police officers have resigned almost two months after an officer-involved shooting took place at a North County McDonald’s in July.

The shooting happened on July 5 on Bellefontaine Road near Larimore. It came after a pool party on Prendergast Lane in Spanish Lake turned into a gathering with hundreds of teens, fights, cars blocking the street and fireworks being set off, police said.

Police later said they moved the teens out onto Bellefontaine Road and that a group of teens also gathered outside the nearby McDonald’s. Officers say a McDonald’s worker reported the teens would not leave the property…
