Heat remains; storm chances return for some

Sunday – Some early AM storms are a threat over northern Kansas, but during the afternoon it will be hot and mostly sunny. Northern Kansas may escape with highs in the 90s, but farther south it will be another 100 degree day.

Next week – A cold front will be pushing into the area on Wednesday, which could bring a few storms to the area (mainly central and northern Kansas). Temperatures will start cooling down in to the 80s for northern Kansas, but highs will remain in the low to mid 90s for southern Kansas. While there is a chance of some isolated storms Wednesday night and Thursday over southern Kansas, chances remain too low to put in the forecast at this time…
