SCIO Ore. (KPTV) – A Scio man was seriously hurt after crashing his pickup truck down an embankment, the Scio Fire District said on Friday.
According to the fire department, the truck went off an embankment near a bridge and crashed into a dry creek bed late on Wednesday night. It came to rest in a spot that was hidden by brush and trees.
The driver was thrown from the truck, suffering injuries that left him unable to move or call for help as he lay in the rain.
About nine hours later on Thursday morning, a man who lives in the area was out for a walk and, while crossing the bridge, spotted the driver, but couldn’t reach him, so the man called 911…
