Thousands of people are still without power, including seniors living at St. Joseph’s Apartments.
On Friday, the 270 residents received a moment of relief as they were treated to a barbecue dinner provided by members of the community.
The seniors have been struggling without electricity, leaving them without hot water and making it difficult to access food. They also say they have not been given an indication of when power is expected to be restored.
While an end to the outage is still not in sight for these residents, the support from the community has given them something to rely on during a difficult time…
