New private club opens golf courses near Nashville

Both the 18-hole main course and the nine-hole short course have opened at Firefly, a new community in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The courses were the first original designs by architect Andrew Green, and they sit some 30-minute drive south of Nashville.

Firefly encompasses 700 rolling acres in all, and 150 homesites have sold since 2025. Construction of club amenities is moving quickly, with the Fieldhouse, golf shop and Outpost scheduled to open in the spring of 2027. Eventually the community will include a clubhouse, pools, a bowling alley, a music hall, a racquet club and more.

Firefly is being built by Storied Development in partnership with Wheelock Street Capital. Homesites are priced from $700,000 to more than $2 million, and home construction is expected to begin in 2027.
