MACHESNEY PARK — A vision to create a new destination centered on the village’s history landed a major milestone this week with the arrival of its most significant artifact.

A 1941 Aeronca Chief that once belonged to Fred Machesney has been installed inside a property at Russ and Smythe avenues, where Barry Paye is working to create a future museum and vendor park.
