A man is accused of stealing nearly $27,500 worth of golf clubs, bags and other equipment from Dominion Country Club in four incidents this spring.
John Fredirick Becker Jr., 49, faces four counts of theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, all state jail felonies. A judge set his bail at about $60,000 on three of the counts. The fourth charge remained pending as of Friday evening, according to Bexar County court records.
On Feb. 6, a Dominion employee placed a golf cart containing 30 clubs, nine other pieces of equipment and two golf bags near the club’s cart staging area, according to arrest affidavits. The equipment was valued at about $11,277. The cart was later found empty in the club’s parking lot…
