Severe storm threat looms Sunday for Columbus region

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Happy Saturday! We are monitoring storms moving in over the next few hours, and some may be strong.

Sunday: We are tracking a chance of severe storms tomorrow afternoon thanks to a cold front. Most of the area is under a level 1/5 risk for severe storms, but parts of Meriwether and Taylor are under a 2/5 risk. Our primary threats are damaging winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain. Storms will start to build shortly after midday.
