A driver escaped serious, life-threatening injuries after a large tree fell onto a vehicle traveling along U.S. 15-501 near Cannon Road in Cameron Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle, a white Toyota Prius, was traveling along the highway when the tree came down across the driver’s side of the vehicle and windshield.
Firefighters responding to the scene had to cut the rear door from the Prius to gain access to the driver and remove them from the vehicle.
