MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)–Morning temperatures are in the 70s. It is a humid start to the day. Highs will be in the 90s, with heat index values up to 109 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in place until 8 p.m. Today will be another day to practice heat safety before a cold front moves through, cooling us closer to seasonal highs. We will see sunshine followed by increasing afternoon clouds, then a chance for thunderstorms late in the day and at night with a cold front.
The front will linger in the area on Sunday, bringing scattered thunderstorms, but it will not be as hot with highs in the 80s to near 90. This break from the heat will continue into next week with highs in the 80s Monday and Tuesday. Some spots could warm back into the 90s by midweek. Another cold front on Thursday will keep it from getting too hot late next week…
