(FOX40.COM) — An overnight car chase through downtown Sacramento ended in a K9 takedown of the suspect, the sheriff’s office said.
The pursuit began when the Sacramento Police Department tried to stop a car driving recklessly at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday at J Street and 7th Street. The vehicle did not pull over and a chase began, temporarily entering the freeway before going back into the city, police said.
Officers successfully deployed spike strips during the chase in the area of Freeport Boulevard and Sutterville Road. Afterwards, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office took over the pursuit, police said…
