We love going to Vincent’s on St. Charles Avenue. I remember my dad talking about another Italian restaurant called Vincent’s in Gentilly in the 1960s. What do you know about it?

Originally from Naples, Italy, Vincent Casertano opened Vincent’s Spaghetti House at 3801 Frenchmen St. in Gentilly in the early 1950s.

An October 1952 article in the New Orleans Item boasted that “the joys of Italian cooking may be sampled in surroundings of friendly comfort,” calling it an “excellent little restaurant.”…
