Arizona man taped to seat after alleged unruly behavior on American Airlines flight

BALTIMORE, MD (AZFamily) — A Tucson man is facing charges after allegedly causing a disturbance on an American Airlines flight, an incident that ended with him restrained to his seat with duct tape and zip ties.

Arthur Lundeen, 67, was allegedly making derogatory remarks toward flight staff and other passengers before becoming violent aboard the flight, which departed Dallas bound for Newark Thursday night.

Juan Mejia, a passenger on that flight and a former law enforcement officer, told ABC News he began hearing a disturbance near the end of the flight.

Witnesses on the flight said Lundeen appeared to be drunk. When a flight attendant tried to calm him down, he started making racial slurs and vulgar language that was very offensive to the women…
