Family of New Iberia woman stabbed to death seeks answers

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — Three weeks after 76-year-old Patricia Marks was found stabbed to death inside her New Iberia home, her family is remembering the woman they lost while continuing to seek answers about what happened.

New Iberia police said officers responded to a reported stabbing at a home on South Hopkins Street around 9 p.m. on Aug. 14. Marks was found unresponsive inside and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Marks’ live-in boyfriend, 67-year-old Wilfred Babino, and charged him with first-degree murder…
