A weak upper atmospheric weather disturbance – which brought scattered showers and storms into Southeast Texas on Saturday – will continue to bring unsettled weather into the region on Sunday.
Relatively high chances of storms are expected for parts of the Houston metro area. However, due to the scattered nature of the storms, not everyone will see rainfall. For those that do, a few storms could bring brief heavy downpours, lightning, and gusty wind speeds. Here’s a timeline for when to expect the best chances for rainfall.

Early morning (4 to 8 a.m.): Mild and muggy conditions are expected early on across Southeast Texas. Skies will be partly cloudy with temperatures hovering in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. This time period will be mostly dry, however a few scattered showers and weak storms could develop by 7 to 8 a.m.
