LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man died during Burning Man after a medical emergency during the annual event in Northern Nevada, according to Burning Man Project.
The attendee, identified as a man in his mid-50s, was given lifesaving measures and was taken to the on-site emergency care center after experiencing a medical emergency. The man was pronounced dead at the emergency care center, according to Burning Man Project.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the participant’s family, friends, and those affected by this loss,” Burning Man Project said in a statement.
There are resources available 24/7 for those in Black Rock City who may be in need of support.
- Black Rock Rangers provide peer support at Ranger HQ (6:30 & Esplanade) and at the Ranger Outposts behind the 3:00 and 9:00 Plazas.
- Black Rock City’s Emergency Services Department’s Crisis Support team is available at ESD stations at 5:15 & Esplanade and behind the 3:00 and 9:00 Plazas.
