An 8-year-old Kirkland boy named Ali was found safe and reunited with his family Friday afternoon, hours after leaving his Rose Hill home believed to be riding an e-scooter. Kirkland Police had asked the public for help locating him earlier in the day, describing him as roughly 4 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 80 to 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The department posted the resolution update at 3:41 p.m. Friday, writing that Ali had been found and reunited with his family, according to Kirkland Police. Earlier that morning, the department, which operates under the handle kirklandwapd as the official account of the Kirkland, WA Police Department, had asked residents to watch for a boy who may have been wearing black Nike pants and a brown-and-white hoodie. Anyone who spotted him was instructed to call 911 immediately.
