Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Show Up to Cheer on Daughter North West’s First Solo Headlining Concert
Kim Kardashian, 45, and Kanye West, 49-who now goes by Ye-were front and center supporting their eldest daughter, North West, at her very first solo headlining concert. The event took place on Saturday, September 5, at The Vic Theatre in Lakeview, Chicago.
A video shared by Paris Match on TikTok captured the moment, revealing the parents seated at opposite ends of the theatre’s balcony, each beaming with pride as they watched North perform. Early in the clip, Ye can be seen recording the show on his phone, nodding along to the music. Later, Kim is shown cheering enthusiastically, smiling and pointing at North while chatting with someone nearby.
This milestone concert comes on the heels of North’s Kimokawaii Tour with rapper Molly Santana, which was canceled in August.
Kim, founder of SKIMS, also shared several clips from the concert on her Instagram Stories. These included footage from Kristen Noel, founder of KNC Beauty, showing fans’ signs, Kim filming the crowd, and North performing various songs.
Kristen praised North’s stage presence, captioning one video, “She was goin off. Only 13 wow.”
An attendee also posted a TikTok showing Ye, who is a Chicago native, leaving the theatre after the show.
North released a six-track EP titled N0rth4evr in May, featuring a mix of genres such as rage, emo, hyperpop, and alternative metal. She recently spoke with Dazed Magazine about her passion for music, stating that pursuing a career in music is not just a hobby but her true aspiration.
When asked about the worst advice she’s received, North said, “To start my career later. It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life.”
Earlier this year, North made her music festival debut at Rolling Loud in Orlando during Molly Santana’s set, followed by her first solo festival performance at Summer Smash in June. Additionally, she made her live concert and TV debut in May, performing “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” as young Simba during The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event at the Hollywood Bowl.
In April, North joined her father on stage during his concert at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, where they performed their 2024 collaboration “Talking.” She also performed her own song, “Piercing on My Hand,” at the show.
Kim and Ye continue to co-parent their four children: North, 13; Saint, 10; Chicago, 8; and Psalm, 7. The couple filed for divorce in February 2021, finalizing the separation in November 2022. Despite their split, they remain united in supporting their children’s endeavors.
