An armed individual reportedly lunged at Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton during her visit to the Canfield Fair on Sunday, according to a statement from her campaign.
Campaign spokesperson Addie Bullock confirmed that the incident resulted in injuries to multiple people. “Dr.
Acton and her husband, Eric, are thankful for the prompt and effective response from law enforcement and are keeping those affected in their thoughts,” Bullock said. She added, “Violence of this nature has no place in Ohio.
Dr. Acton remains committed to standing against the chaos, hatred, and division that threaten our communities.”
