MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A new car event called “Fords at the Shore” has launched in the Grand Strand area to fill the void left after Mustang Week relocated to Charlotte. Unlike Mustang Week, which focused exclusively on Mustangs, the new gathering opens its doors to all Ford vehicles.
Organizers established the inaugural event to help recover millions of dollars in revenue lost when Mustang Week departed the Myrtle Beach area. In addition to assisting local businesses, all funds collected at the event are designated for local charitable organizations.
C.D. Rozsa, one of the organizers of Fords at the Shore, said the departure of Mustang Week resulted in a major financial impact, removing approximately $50 million from the local area along with state revenue from travel expenses…
