(FOX40.COM) — Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that burned through a North Highlands home and surrounding sheds early Sunday morning.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a reported house fire on Oak Hollow Way at about 4:02 a.m., fire officials said. Once on scene, firefighters found a “well-involved” fire burning through a home which had been condemned in August.
Crews began battling the fire after searching the home to ensure no one was inside. Fire crews requested backup after noticing flames spreading to multiple sheds connected to nearby homes, fire officials said.
