SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly fleeing from police in a suspected stolen vehicle and then parking and going inside a San Diego Walmart to change his clothes.
The El Cajon Police Department said that the Sheriff’s ASTREA unit received a Flock camera alert, which uses automated license plate reading, about a suspected stolen vehicle. Ground crews were requested to check on the car near a Dollar Tree off Fletcher Parkway in El Cajon.
Officers said that while on their way to the area, the driver left, and they tried to stop him. The driver did not pull over, and a pursuit ensued on the highway around 2:12 p.m., police said…
