LAFAYETTE, La. (Acadiana News First) – A woman has been arrested in connection to the stabbing of a 71-year-old man in Lafayette Sunday morning.
Lafayette Police were called to the 400 block of Row 3 for a stabbing in progress around 7 a.m., where they found an elderly man with a large cut on his back. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, according to LPD.
An investigation revealed the man’s neighbor, Ashlee Benjamin, 45, slashed two tires on the man’s vehicle before walking to his house to tell him about the damage. When he came outside to look at the tires, Benjamin allegedly attacked him with a knife…
