The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, a 27-foot mobile shaped like exactly what its name says, stopped through Bremerton’s Blackberry Festival Saturday on a recent loop around the Northwest. Hot dog fans or just the curious cruised by for photos, coupons and other promotions along Bremerton’s First Street, parked alongside a row of tents and the “Chalk Plaza” full of kids activities that highlight the Labor Day weekend festival downtown.
The Blackberry Festival, put on by the Bremerton Rotary Foundation, continues through Labor Day weekend, Sept. 6 and 7, in downtown and along the Louis Mentor Bremerton Boardwalk. Thousands of people packed the city’s core to sample the wide range of food trucks, listen to music and more under sunny skies on Saturday.
Live music at the main stage on the boardwalk begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday and lasts until 7 p.m., and runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. The second stage, with comedy and entertainment at First and Washington, runs from 11:30 to 5:30 p.m…
