ALEXANDRIA, Va. — On Sept. 11, a documentary about the Virginia Theological Seminary reparations program will bring a deeply personal story to the screen.
“Bridging Ground” follows the seminary’s effort to confront its history of enslaved and exploited Black labor. The film also examines what happened after the institution moved beyond acknowledgment and began making direct financial payments to descendants.
