Multiple graded stakes-winning multimillionaire Banishing will make his next start in the Grade 1, $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup on Friday, September 18 as racing returns to the new Belmont Park. The 10-furlong route for 3-year-olds and up provides a “Win and You’re In” berth to the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic in October at Keeneland.
Trained by David Jacobson for Lawrence Roman and Sharaf Mohammed Al Hariri, the 6-year-old Ghostzapper gelding is a stakes winner at distances ranging from 6-to-9 furlongs.
