Back-to-back days with 100° heat and back-to-back days with record-setting temperatures. September is not supposed to play out this way, but that’s what we’ve been experiencing as summer just does not want to let go.
Hot conditions will stick around for the start of this week, with temperatures on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday threatening the 100° mark.
Thankfully, much-needed change will arrive by the end of the week as a front is expected to move across the Ozarks on Thursday. That will knock temperatures potentially out of the 90s and return rain chances, two things that people are desperately wanting to see.
After the front moves through on Thursday, temperatures will try to warm back up, but thankfully, not as hot as what we’ve been dealing with over the last week. It looks like this upcoming weekend will bring temperatures right around 90° with a slight chance of an isolated shower…
