EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – As the anniversary of 9/11 gets closer, STAGEtwo at 321 preapres to remember a day that changed history.
Play Director Katie Small says the play “Recent Tragic Events” tells the story of a young woman the day after the attack. It was written by Craig Oates in 2003.
Director Small explained, “Waverly, the main character, she’s in her 20s. She’s, you know, living in an apartment for her by herself for the first time… And they’ve had a blind date scheduled, she and Andrew. And so they go through with it. ‘We’re all trying to be normal.’ But Waverly has a twin sister who’s living in New York, and she doesn’t know where she is.”
