CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man accused of setting fire to his father’s house near Caledonia in late June is now facing a murder charge after his father died.
Tom Chehowski III, 54, had been charged with assault with intent to murder and first-degree arson in the June 28 fire.
The charge was amended to open murder after the 77-year-old victim died, Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker said.
