The southbound inside lane of U.S. 17 near Cypress Gardens Boulevard in Winter Haven will be closed starting Sept. 9 for construction work.
The lane closure is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks, the Florida Department of Transportation said in a news release. The inside westbound left turn lane on Cypress Gardens Boulevard (State Road 540) to southbound U.S. 17 will also be closed.
The closures are necessary while crews install a new drainage structure and begin constructing turn lanes for the entrance to the new Target, which is currently under construction, FDOT said…
