A number of parents are voicing their anger with officials at a Tennessee middle school after 21 students ended up hospitalized after being evacuated due to a possible bomb threat.
Administrators at Carter Middle School in Strawberry Plains began relocating students to a football field on the morning of Sept. 4 after a threatening message was discovered written on a bathroom wall, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
Parents and school officials disagree on what happened next, but it is known that 21 of those students were rushed to Dolly Parton Hospital where three were admitted in critical condition.
A timeline provided by the KCSO states that after the concerning message was first reported at 9:56 a.m., “students were relocated to the football field at approximately 10:25 a.m.” and “students were permitted to reenter the school at approximately 11:27 a.m.”…
