Wetumpka teacher works to keep history alive for his students

WETUMPKA, Ala. (WSFA) – This year marks 25 years since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. At Wetumpka Middle School, a young social studies teacher who was born after the attacks is making sure his students understand the significance of major events in the nation’s history.

Pierson Lett teaches 7th and 8th grade social studies at Wetumpka Middle School. He also serves as yearbook adviser, teaches contemporary issues, helps coach baseball and works as a youth minister.
