MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The advice for today is the same as it was through Labor Day weekend… Don’t cancel any outdoor plans, but be prepared for additional pop-up showers and thunderstorms that return to the region and could briefly interrupt your Labor Day festivities.
Today looks like yet another day where the heat and humidity eventually leads to several pop-up showers and thunderstorms–especially later this afternoon and into the early evening. Like the last few days, these downpours should be spotty and widespread, but be ready for heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds in any of those stronger storms. Keep that WSFA First Alert Weather App close by if you’re going to be out by the pool or the lake this afternoon, and be ready to move indoors quickly if storms approach your region. It’s hot and humid for the handful of locations that don’t see rain with highs in the middle 90s.
