NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Nashville man is recovering from a “serious” arm injury after he stepped in to defend a group of women near Broadway Sunday.
The suspect—identified by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office as Yander Joaquin Diaz— faces charges of aggravated assault and public intoxication in connection with the attack.

According to witnesses, the confrontation began when a bystander spoke up to defend a group of women being harassed by Diaz in a food line near the 100 block of 3rd Avenue South.
