TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Tampa man was arrested Saturday night after being caught speeding at over 100 mph on the Howard Frankland Bridge, troopers said.
A Florida Highway Patrol arrest report said Michael Patrick Martin, 63, was spotted by a trooper conducting speed enforcement on the bridge’s express lanes near mile marker 32.
The trooper spotted Martin driving toward him at a high speed and used his Truspeed laser to check how fast the suspect was going.
According to the report, the trooper clocked Martin going 125 mph in the 65 mph zone.
The trooper activated his lights and pulled Martin over. He was then arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle at a speed exceeding the speed limit by over 50 mph…
