‘Extremely honored’: Fourth-generation Marlborough native chosen as Labor Day Parade Grand Marshal

MARLBOROUGH – This year, George Larassa, the “Mayor of Marlborough,” was selected as the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Labor Day Parade.

Larassa is a fourth-generation Marlborough native who has owned G.L. Auto for the past 32 years. Mayor J. Christian Dumais nominated him to lead the Labor Day Parade.

“I’m extremely honored to be the Grand Marshal,” he said. “In the past, I have driven the Grand Marshal, donated my cars for the parade, and built some of the floats, so I’m excited and proud that I was picked to be the Marshal.”…
