BLUFFDALE, Utah (KUTV) — More than 3,400 customers lost power in Salt Lake County early Monday morning after a rat came into contact with electrical equipment at a substation.
The outage was first reported at 3:35 a.m. and lasted just over two hours, impacting thousands of customers in the Bluffdale area.
A Rocky Mountain Power representative said the outage was due to a rat in a substation, saying it caused a “fault that affected several circuit breakers.”…
