UNIONTOWN, Ohio (WOIO) – Motorcycle Ohio, a Ohio Traffic Safety Office program, will present a “Saved by the Helmet” award this week, according to the press release.
The award is to recognize riders that use protective gear, specifically helmets, to those that survive serious crashed. Motorcycle Ohio believes that recognizing riders who wear protective gear will help to promote and increase awareness of the life-saving value of motorcycle helmets.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there is an average of 216 motorcyclist fatalities a year. In 2025, there were 195 motorcyclist deaths…
