JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) — A new hotel is moving forward on Johns Island, with plans to bring a mix of lodging, restaurants, shops and green space to more than 13 acres along Maybank Highway.
The Jubilee Hotel is planned for the corner of Maybank Highway and Wildts Battery Boulevard. It will include 75 hotel rooms and 65 cottages, accommodating a maximum of about 140 families.
The project is approved, but the remaining focus is on the design and how the development will fit the character of Johns Island…
